"How to get new clients/customers - how many do I need?"
Getting new clients in any business is the life blood of your bottomline - well, next to retaining your current clients and customers! So how do you get more? How many? It's not magic tricks for sure - and all calculated simple strategies.
Here's a few pointers for you to work on this weekend as you prep for this week - remember in my community Monday's are #MoneyMetricMonday - and we should be tracking our revenue on a weekly basis. Before we talk about how to get them, let's just breakdown how many and get clear on what you need.
Now...
- What are you doing to get more now? Be honest - many times entrepreneurs are super busy but not at REVENUE GENERATING ACTIVITY. What are you doing daily to make money in your business?
- Know how many new buyers you need of a specific product (or mix of product/services) you must sell in order to reach your goal. For example: have a 10k per month goal with an average product price of $200? Well you'll need to sell 50 of them to reach your goal.
- Once you know how many you need to sell - then you have to ask yourself - how many people do I need to get in front of, call or promote to, to CLOSE 50 sales? Based on your own track record of CONVERSIONS -meaning, if you spoke to 10 people about your offer, how many of 10 will say yes? 2? 5? 7? Let's shoot for 2 in this example.
- CONVERSIONS - so you need 50 people to say YES to your $200 product to make $10k per month - got it. Now if you close 20% of those you come in contact with - then that means you need to get in front of 250 people to close 20% which equals 50 people.
- CONSIDER - online and email sales are LOWER conversions than actual phone conversations you have with people. That sales ratios is 1-3% on average which means you'll need to have access to many more people.
- WHERE - where are they hanging out online and offline - how can you find a way to get in front of 10 people this week - are they on your social media? Have they inboxed you asking questions? Getting email inquiries? Can you this weekend make a list of 10 people to connect to this coming week? Can you commit to calling them on the phone between Mon-Wed of this week and aiming to get 2 people to say yes?
